Missionary of the Week

Praying more purposefully for our Missions Partners

Tom & Ali Hallman | Pennsylvania

Tom Hallman is tasked with leading the campus fellowship at Penn State Altoona, consisting of roughly 30 active student members, as well as maintaining relationships with school administrators, local churches, and other campus group leaders. He is also involved in training a team of new support-raising missionaries as well as handling the onboarding of additional missionaries. He is also just getting back into an Executive management role since he’d stepped away last year to spend additional time ministering directly to students.

  • For more laborers for the harvest: I oversee the recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding for all new DM missionaries. This past year saw a significant drop in applicants (understandably), yet the fields are as white as ever! Let's pray with the Lord Jesus for more laborers in His harvest fields.

  • For us to use our giftings wisely for Jesus: Ali and I are both passionate about many aspects of the ministry, from 1-1 time with staff & students to broad ministry-wide decision-making, training and encouragement.

  • For God to use DiscipleMakers to reach the campus and reach the world: we are seeking to reach 25 campuses by 2025 (we're officially at 19 so far), but we want to care well for our staff and students during the expansion, especially as we are coming out of this pandemic season (Lord willing!!)
