Sunday School is another place where you are encouraged to ‘go deeper’ into Scripture to learn more about God: who He is, how He works and what He has done for us in Christ. We currently offer three classes during the Summer of 2017. Our Sunday School classes are extremely popular due to the gifts of our teachers, as well as the opportunity to meet new people and be discipled as we learn together.

The leadership of Milford Bible Church is currently developing a 3-year curriculum for our Sunday School classes that will focus on three different streams. These are: Theological Study, Biblical Study and Pastoral Issues. In our Theological Studies, we will look at doctrines of the Christian Faith, theological issues and church history. In our Biblical Studies, we will look at various books of the Bible, the Gospel and overviews of the Old and New Testament. In our Pastoral Issues studies we will look at contemporary issues that affect the church, from friendship, to love, sex and marriage, to counselling, as well as money, debt and suffering.

We also offer Christianity Explored, Baptism and Membership classes as requested.

Sundays at 11.00am.

Genesis: Which Came First?

Teacher: Bill Hunnicutt

Are you interested in how it all started? Do you struggle with the origin of evil, dinosaurs, the idea of the Big Bang, whether work is good or bad, if there is proof for a worldwide flood, and, most importantly, is there any hope for us? If so, come join us to get some answers to your questions and enjoy interactive fellowship with other believers.

Room 211.

Heroes and Heretics: Church History

Teacher: Pastor Tim

‘There’s nothing new under the sun.’ In a world increasingly hostile to the Gospel, we’re often left asking, ‘How can this be? What can we do?’ The answer to these questions are readily available in Scripture, and we are not the first to ask them. There’s great benefit for us to be acquainted with the struggles and trials of the heroes (and heretics) who have trod this road before: we can be prepared for trial, grounded faithfully in the Gospel and therefore be ‘able to respond’ to the questions and challenges of this world, be it sexual ethics, Trinitarian confusion, violent opposition or militant atheism.

These heroes, and heretics, of our faith, though long gone, have voices that ought to be heard.

Room 112.

The Five Love Languages

Teachers: Jeff Colarusso

Falling in love is easy. Staying in love – that’s the challenge. How can you keep your relationship fresh and growing amid the demands, conflicts, and just plain boredom of everyday life?

Through fun-filled presentations before a live audience, Gary Chapman helps you identify your personal love language. He also helps you understand the love language of your spouse. Then he provides practical suggestions for enriching your marriage by practicing the other love languages.

Room 117-118

You don’t have to go through grieving alone. We are a friendly and caring group who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences.

Led by people who have suffered great loss and yet found hope, you will gain the help and support you need to go through the grieving process.

Our next cycle will begin again the Fall.

  • Access Jesus

We also offer Access Jesus as an alternative Sunday School class for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. God’s desire is that all should hear of His Son, Jesus. The mission of this class is to meet individuals where they are and to instruct, encourage and to grow lives for Jesus!

  • Christianity Explored Class

Are you new to church, Jesus and the Bible? This class will clarify what Christians actually believe, and why it is important for your life by looking through the Gospel of Mark. We will study who Jesus is and why His life, death and resurrection matter.

  • Baptism Class

If you’re a believer, you are commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ to be baptised in His name. There are deep theological reasons for baptism that will be explored in this four week course. This class is open to any who are considering baptism, or who are curious about what it signifies. If you have been baptised already, but want a refresher on the importance and theology of this historic act of obedience to Christ, you, too, are welcome.

  • Membership Class

This class is designed to inform people interested in membership about the life, vision and ministry of Milford Bible Church, the Biblical foundation for membership in a local church, the responsibilities and privileges of membership and the process of joining. Attendance does not mean you must join. This class is open to the curious, members seeking a refresher, or new members.
