What does a typical Sunday morning look like?
You can expect a live band playing music that has the same sound you hear on the radio. There will be joyful singing of contemporary and traditional Christian music with words projected on the screens.
We will be called to worship and often we use the Lord’s Prayer, the Ten Commandments and the Apostles’ Creed.
There will be Scripture reading, prayer, and then an ordained minister will share a thirty-minute message from the Bible that will make sense to your life. You won’t need to kneel or come forward or publicly identify yourself in any way. You will be able to turn in a card with prayer requests if you wish for the staff to pray for you at their weekly staff meeting.
Our worship service lasts about one hour and is followed by a half hour of coffee and fellowship if you wish to linger. Then at 11:00 we have various classes where the Bible is studied in small groups and we have a special short-term class called Christianity Explored for those new to the church.
What should I wear?
Wear what is comfortable and respectful for you. We have everything from coats, ties, and dresses, to casual and dressy, to very comfortable. We don’t notice dress too much because we are focused on worshipping the great God of the Bible.
Do I need to bring a Bible to Sunday morning?
Bibles are provided in the pews and the page numbers are noted in the worship bulletin. Often the Scripture and outlines are projected, but we welcome you to bring your own Bible also.
To sum up: Come prepared to worship the Triune God in all his holiness and beauty and to hear and experience his love and grace. He desires a relationship with you and you can learn more about him as you join us in worship.
The 9:30 am Worship Service is interpreted for the Deaf.
